UAE-based sustainable energy provider Yellow Door Energy has been awarded a solar project by The Box for its newest self-storage multi storey facility in Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC). The 312 kilowatt-peak rooftop solar plant is expected to generate more than 800,000 kilowatt- hours of clean energy in its first year of operation, equivalent to reducing 300,000 kg of carbon emissions or planting 5,600 trees. The DP World operated International Container Transshipment Terminal (ICTT) at Cochin recently added a new weekly Far East West Africa India Express service (FEW3) operated by Maersk Line. The new service with a fixed-weekly sailing will deploy 13 vessels of 4,500 to 5,500 TEUs capacity. Dubai-based airline flydubai has announced the launch of flights to Sharm El Sheikh. The carrier will operate three weekly flights to Sharm El Sheikh International Airport (SSH) from 15 June. The route will become flydubai’s second destination in Egypt alongside Alexandria Borg El Arab International Airport (HBE). Flights from Terminal 2, DXB to SSH will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Abu Dhabi Ports subsidiary Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD) announced the formation of a green ammonia production facility, targeting regional and international markets. Helios Industry, a privately-owned special project vehicle company (SPV), plans to invest over AED3.67 billion (USD1 billion) in the construction of the facility over several years, which it aims to develop with local and international partners in two phases and is projected to produce 200,000 tonnes of green ammonia from 40,000 tonnes of green hydrogen.
