Bobcat has launched a new generation R-Series telehandler range for the Middle East, Africa, Russia, and CIS markets, providing a choice of 12 models powered by Stage IIIA engines. The new telehandlers cover lifting heights from 6 to 18 m with maximum lifting capacities between 2.6 and 4.1 tonne. Emirates SkyCargo restarted cargo flights to New Zealand in early May 2020 with its passenger freighter aircraft, working with the New Zealand government as part of its International Airfreight Capacity Scheme (IAFC) to connect exporters in New Zealand with their international customers. Currently the air cargo carrier offers cargo capacity on six flights a week from Auckland and one flight a week from Christchurch connecting New Zealand to other markets in the region as well as the rest of the world through Dubai. Saudia Cargo launched its twice a week passenger as freighter flights to Denmark’s capital on 22 May, widening its route network in Scandinavia for pharmaceuticals and perishables. Saudia Airlines B777-300 passenger planes with 140-tonne payload capacity per flight are being utilised as ‘preighters’ on the route scheduled for Wednesday and Saturday. “We have seen a growing demand for air cargo in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. UAE-based shipbuilder Gulf Craft celebrated the world premiere of its flagship superyacht, the Majesty 175. Pushing the boundaries in superyacht production with lightweight material that enables cruising in low-draft waters, the world’s largest composite production superyacht, fully made in the UAE, was on show for the public for the first time at Dubai Harbour. Ajman Free Zone (AFZ) announced that small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and other companies based within the area formed 56% of AFZ’s total purchases during the first quarter of this year. From 1 June, Dubai Metro will operate two new stations on the Route 2020 line ­– Dubai Investment Park (DIP) Station and Expo 2020 Station. Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority (DAFZA) has signed an agreement with the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA). The agreement will support the regulation, offering, issuance, listing and trading of crypto assets within the free zone. The agreement was signed by Her Excellency Dr. Maryam Al Suwaidi, Acting CEO of the Securities and Commodities Authority and Amna Lootah, Assistant Director-General, DAFZA.
