Featured among the Top 50 Sustainability Leaders in MENA in 2023 by Sustainability Middle East Magazine. Majd is a decarbonization strategist and award-winning engineer with a track record in assisting NGOs and government organizations in developing and implementing innovative strategies and programs aimed at advancing decarbonization, energy efficiency, and green building principles in the region.

Currently, Majd leads strategy and policy development related to demand side management, water management, green mobility, and circular economy at the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Dubai government. He is the committee secretary at two high-level government committees in Dubai which aim to accelerate efficiency principles in order to reduce Dubai’s energy and water demand by 30% by 2030 and achieve net zero emissions by 2050.

Majd is also the director and board member of the Advancing Net Zero Volunteering Team which aims to accelerate the transition to net zero cities in the UAE. Prior to that, Majd held several positions including senior energy advisor to the Royal Danish Consulate General in Dubai, technical lead at Emirates Green Building Council, and project manager of the National CDM Program for Solar Energy in Lebanon.

Majd is the founder of an online platform #MajdTalks which aims at raising awareness about sustainability and decarbonisation topics.

Majd was a speaker at 100+ flagship sustainability events in the UAE and region and a jury member of several regional awards programs. He is also the lead author of 10 technical energy publications and has been interviewed by 15+ regional magazines, radios, and newspapers on energy and sustainability topics.

Majd was selected to be part of the first cohort of Emerging Board Leaders Fellowship, powered by HSBC which recognizes exceptional Arab and North African men and women under the age of 45 and accelerates their pathway to boardrooms.

Majd holds a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy from Saint Joseph University and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Lebanese University. He also holds a Certified Energy Manager, LEED Accredited Professional (Operations and Maintenance), and TRUE Zero Waste Advisor credentials.

Leila Al Suhaimi is a distinguished Regional Sustainability Head at Retal Urban Development Company, where she champions transformative sustainability initiatives across Saudi Arabia. Her competence in fostering enduring relationships with key clients and corporate stakeholders has established her as a trusted contact and steward of Retal’s pivotal sustainable development projects, including the groundbreaking establishment of the company's sustainability unit - a significant milestone in Retal's mission of “building for generations”.

Leila’s impact transcends her formal role; she collaborates closely with Investor Relations to align Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles with international investment opportunities, with the vision of enhancing Retal’s global footprint.

Leila gained over twelve years of experience in business development in the architecture and design industry moving between Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Australia. Educated in Queensland, Australia, she holds two degrees; a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Design in Interior Design (Honours) from Queensland University of Technology. Furthermore, she is a LEED AP, WELL AP and Mostadam AP, an allied engineering specialist registered with the Saudi Council of Engineers

Under Graham’s leadership, RLB has expanded its Project Management arm and Built Asset Consultancy, aligning with the company’s 2030 Vision. He also launched RLB’s regional sustainability services, enabling clients to measure their projects’ carbon footprint. With a project backlog worth $100 billion and a GFA of 1.2 billion m2 across 15 sectors, Graham’s leadership has been pivotal.

In 2023, Graham led RLB to achieve carbon-neutral accreditation in the UAE and Qatar for its operations and services – a significant step towards the company’s goal of reaching net-zero by 2030.

His commitment to CSR is evident through various activities, such as providing essential supplies to construction labourers every year during Ramadan, organising industry sports networking events that promote mental wellness and corporate camaraderie, and environmental initiatives that include cleaning up Qatar’s Singing Sand Dunes.

A regular speaker at events, Graham helps foster collaboration within the construction sector, cementing his reputation as a visionary leader in the region.

As the leader and CEO Green Growth Planning Consultancy and previously GESS, Anita Nouri was integral in pioneering the First Landfill Gas to Energy Project in the region. The Al Qusais Landfill was a showcase of what could be done in a region that is still landfilling most of its waste. The project was significant in the reduction of CO2 emissions and was reducing the impact of Methane (CH4) to the atmosphere by over 300,000 tons of CO2 equivalent registered with the UNFCCC as project #8269. Green Energy Solutions & Sustainability LLC served to show the region what can be achieved when you utilize the power that is captured in landfills and generate power. Selling Carbon Credits to the Norwegian government to monetize the Carbon Credits GESS was able to achieve a first in the region.

Green Growth Planning Consultancy was born out of what GESS had accomplished. Anita Nouri has established herself as a leader in the region for introducing and implementing real solutions. Anita has been a speaker at many events, as well as being acknowledged for the work she has done, she has also attained several awards for Sustainable Smart solutions. Through her new company Green Growth Planning Consultancy she is still targeting landfills and waste management strategies that are providing environmental solutions throughout the region by supporting the development of government legislation and regulations that will drive the Green Economy.

“As entrepreneurs we are proud of what we achieved and hope to keep setting standards while supporting the benchmarks in the region for alternative energy”. Waste needs to be seen as a resource to make a difference. All landfills need to be degassed and utilized for power, this is still her mission and through GGPC we will be able to support many solutions that can keep the region moving towards a more sustainable future.

A highly accomplished engineering and sustainability leader with 17 years of extensive expertise in energy efficiency, green industrial transformation, and smart infrastructure development. With a strong electrical engineering and power systems background, Mouza Al Neimi has successfully led strategic initiatives promoting sustainability, circular economy, and digital transformation in the UAE's energy and infrastructure sectors. Currently serving as the energy & Sustainability Expert at the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, Mouza has spearheaded major projects such as electric vehicle battery recycling, green industrial transformation, building retrofitting, and sustainable cooling solutions. Her leadership has been instrumental in developing public-private partnerships (PPP), integrating AI in energy systems, and advocating environmental policies aligned with the UAE's sustainability goals. With a Master's in Engineering Management and a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, she combines technical acumen with strategic planning expertise. A recipient of prestigious awards, including the Innovates Award and Women in Energy Award, Mouza continues to drive forward-thinking solutions for the energy sector. She is an active member of multiple committees, including the Heating and Cooling Mission, Circular Economy Committee, and Automotive Agencies Committee, contributing to shaping national policies and industry standards. Passionate about mentoring and knowledge sharing, she also plays a pivotal role in youth development and capacity building in renewable energy and digital transformation.
