Kasun Illankoon caught up with Yahya Alkan, CEO at World of Wonders Real Estate Development, on the new SLS Dubai Hotel and Residences.

We caught up with Yahya Alkan, CEO at World of Wonders Real Estate Development, to discuss the project and why the market is craving for more luxury living.

Market Prospective for Luxury Living

2019 has shown us that the industry still has a strong craving for luxury living. The shift in prices along with latest laws that were introduced in the past year made it favorable for investors and tenants to purchase/rent. The new 10-year residency visa in the UAE could give eligible residents a stronger belonging in the Emirate and drive further property investments. The five-year retirement visa for property owners in the Emirate could also see more people viewing the UAE as a long-term option. This is of course strong developments and policies that are put in place for the best interest of everyone. As we step into 2020, the upcoming Expo 2020 is also expected to have a positive impact on the Dubai property market. With increasing levels of properties being purchased and favorable policies encouraging investors to think more long term in Dubai, chances are the property market will see further growth.

The construction of SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences enjoys support from acclaimed architecture company AEDAS, interior design by Dubai-based Paul Bishop Design, with essential construction work and services provided by Gunal Construction, along with the best and most experienced suppliers and sub-contracting companies.

As the focus of the project is on lifestyle, the design of the tower takes inspiration from the module of classic Oriel architecture, a distinct aspect of mid-century classic architecture. To ensure a breathtaking view is offered across all areas of the building, the units are rotated by 45 degrees in four different angles.
