WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff cuts name to WSP

WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff will be changing its name to WSP and adopting a new global brand, the company has announced.

The engineering and design consultancy was formed in late 2014 when Canada-based WSP completed the acquisition of Parsons Brinckerhoff, the professional services division of Balfour Beatty of the UK.

The merger created one of the largest pure-play multidisciplinary consulting firms worldwide, with combined revenue of $4.8bn.

“Our name is changing to WSP and on May 10th 2017 we will also reveal a new visual identity and share the evolution of our brand,” the company said in a statement.

“The change of name reflects our global growth to 36,000 people. Our new name comes as a result of speaking extensively to our people and clients and exploring what they believe we stand for.

“Changing our name to WSP will bring together over 85 legacy companies from across the globe, including Mouchel here in the Middle East, and will allow us to focus on our shared future; continuing to work on some of the world’s most iconic projects and adding value to our clients.”
