French lighting solutions provider, Switch Made, has undertaken the value engineering for the new façade lighting, developing a custom solution for The Dubai Mall, to give it a youthful and modern visual identity.
The retrofit lighting solutions by Switch Made will enable the mall to achieve an annual decrease in energy consumption for façade lighting by 40 – 50%.
The new lighting has also increased the lighting quality of the mall dramatically with greater uniformity, illuminance and colour rendering efficiency in addition to enhancing the visitor experience by improving the perception of space.

Switch Made provided the full package of lighting solutions including LED modules, projectors and cove linear lights to meet the design goal of creating peaceful, aesthetic ambient lighting. Close to 52,000 LED luminaires were installed creating a dynamic façade that spans across 10km.
