Sami works with the Board to set the strategy of the Group and takes ultimate responsibility for the operational and financial performance of Petrofac. He is also integrally involved with the Group’s direction on sustainability and health and safety. On January 1^st 2021, Sami was appointed as Group CEO at Petrofac International.

Sami has more than 30 years’ international experience in both oilfield and upstream E&P companies. Prior to joining Petrofac Sami held leadership roles with Schlumberger, BG Group, and Shell.
