Multiplex tops out Al Maryah Central mall
Construction contractor Multiplex has completed major structural work on the Al Maryah Central mall in Abu Dhabi less than 18 months after starting work on the project.
News that the 2.8 million sq ft building had topped out was announced by project developer Gulf Related.
It means Al Maryah Central, which is linked to the existing Galleria mall on Al Maryah Island, is on course to open its doors in 2018.
The malls structure includes a 185,000 cm3 concrete frame poured in situ. Approximately 15 million man hours have been dedicated to this achievement to-date.
