The ‘Bottle Recycling Challenge’ organized by Imdaad, a Dubai-based group of companies that provides integrated, sustainable FM services that enhance operational efficiencies of physical assets, concluded recently, after successfully inspiring the residential community in Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) to work for a greener environment.
Organized in partnership with Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), the regulatory body for Dubai Silicon Oasis, the integrated free zone technology park, the Imdaad Bottle Recycling Challenge encouraged the residents of DSO to make their environment greener by recycling as many plastic bottles as possible during the three-week campaign. Participants were required to deposit the plastic bottles at specific collection points and upload a photo to the designated app to earn points. The campaign period witnessed the enthusiastic participation of the community members, with the app registering around 115 deposit actions. DSO resident Mr. Thierry Burot won the top prize for collecting and recycling the most plastic bottles.
The initiative was launched in line with DSOA’s commitment to environmental practices and Imdaad’s reputation as the UAE’s leading eco-friendly facilities management company aimed to inspire residential communities in Dubai to contribute for a better tomorrow. The campaign is among Imdaad’s latest efforts to raise awareness of the importance of recycling and ensure the community’s participation in the recycling process. The company plans to roll out the campaign across many more communities in the UAE in the coming weeks, in addition to launching more green initiatives in the future.
