Abu Dhabi based leading Integrated Facility Management and MEP contractor, Adeeb Group, has won a USD 4 million IoT Project of Remote Monitoring, Billing and Energy Management Solution at ADNOC, Ruwais City.
Adeeb has tied-up with energy management giant M/s. Landis+Gyr of Switzerland as its product partner and entered into an agreement to source the complete supply of this ADNOC Ruwais city energy management and IOT project.
Adeeb Group is contracted for this project’s supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of the central monitoring meters system. Furthermore, Adeeb will provide turnkey solutions and deliver IoT ready software components for the meters to be connected to central monitoring workstation at control room defined by ADNOC.
The communication will be based on M2M technology to the command center which will be a functional space to showcase best practice control room operations, designed to the highest specification with innovation in technology and will feature immersive, high impact technology.
The automated data acquisition scheduled in the system will bring many benefits which allows for the elimination of human error, thus reducing the probability of errors related to manual data input and also contributes to the reduction of operating costs. Building services technologies and systems data integration can provide many possibilities and benefits for system data to be connected to allow inter-process control and interaction, as well as provide common management-level visualization and operation via desktops and mobile devices.
There are different levels of integration available depending on the various systems, services, and applications. The Middleware Framework is architected around the IoT and takes the form of typical IoT solution, with the many layers required to get data from many disparate systems and IoT devices to either a desktop User Interface (UI) or mobile device through the IoT layer stack.
“A set of pre-defined roles based on user groups shall be defined across all stations, and every user of the system shall be given a unique login access credentials to provide audit logs,” said Eng. Ansari, Chief Executive officer at Adeeb Group
He further added that Adeeb Group will focus more on similar projects in the region as it will make the system easier to control the operational costs and will lead to sustainable future.
