Cargostore mobilises new fleet of CCUs into the UAE

Offshore container supplier, Cargostore Worldwide Trading, is set to inject a new fleet of DNV 2.7-1 certified cargo carrying units (CCUs) into the UAE, rebalancing their portfolio and investing in new kit to meet growing demand.

The increase and distribution of new stock into the Middle East heralds an exciting period of growth for the company with the finalisation of the new trade licence for the UAE sponsored by Abu Dhabi-based oil and gas industry supplies and service, Al Yaseah.

The new stock includes 20 20-foot DNV 2.7-1 certified reefer containers; 10 of which are the first to be manufactured with the new Cargostore Worldwide Trading Ltd prefix of CWTU. Two containers manufactured for clients in the Middle East including a 12-foot mud logging container and a 12-foot Smoking Shack and 16 4-foot baskets with and without doors.

While much of the stock is already in use, there will be additional stock made available when the Cargostore Worldwide Trading Limited facility in Abu Dhabi opens.

Cargostore managing director, Justin Farrington Smith, said: “Our further investment in equipment in the region is a further demonstration of our commitment to ensure our customers always receive the best equipment and service that they deserve; CWT fully expects to further invest in new models to meet our customer requirements over the next few months.”

Cargostore Worldwide Trading Ltd operates a fleet of ISO and DNV 2.7-1 containers and related equipment for sale, re-sale and lease directly and via its subsidiaries and partners throughout the UK, Europe, North America, Africa, South East Asia, and the Middle East.
