The Awards

CBNME MEP Awards 2021 is one of the leading events applauding the achievements of the region’s construction professionals. The awards strive to recognise individual excellence, corporate strengths, and project success. Companies are invited to nominate the people, projects, and initiatives of which they are most proud of, across 18 categories. Entries will be judged by an eminent jury of industry experts.

The awards presentation will happen at a gala dinner in a five-star venue – a celebration which has proven to be a great social occasion and essential networking opportunity. Winners will receive a commemorative trophy, plus extensive print and online coverage of their success in Construction Business News ME. Entries for the HSE INITIATIVE OF THE YEAR category should support their nomination with no more than 1,000 words and include the following information:
  • Name of the company, workforce, headquarters
  • Financial results for the previous two years or nearest estimates
  • Demonstrate ways in which the company has grown in the past year in terms of revenue, profit, opening new offices, expanding its service offering
  • Details of all new contracts won during this period
  • Details of projects completed during the period

Entries for the SUSTAINABLE INITIATIVE OF THE YEAR category should support their nomination with no more than 1,000 words and include the following information:

The ELECTRICAL PROJECT OF THE YEAR Award will be awarded to the project that makes an important contribution to its surroundings, demonstrates construction best practice, and can show how construction techniques and technology have contributed to its success within 12 months to the end of January 2021.
Entries for the ELECTRICAL PROJECT OF THE YEAR should support their nominations by providing the following information in no more than 1,000 words:
  • What is the name of the nominated project?
  • Where (city, country) is the project located?
  • What is the name of your company?

These categories will recognize the achievements since Jan 2020 to 2021 of individual female executives (includes general manager, managing director, senior executives, or C-Level positions.)
  • Briefly describe the nominated individual: history and past performance
  • Outline the nominee's achievements since Jan 2020 that you wish to bring to the judges' attention
  • Explain why the achievements you have highlighted are unique or significant.
  • If possible compare the achievements to the performance of other players in your industry and/or to the nominee's past performance Reference any attachments of supporting materials throughout this nomination and how they provide evidence of the claims you have made in this nomination
