Agility, a leading global logistics provider, announced solar projects in Dubai and Jordan that will eventually cut the company’s carbon footprint in the region by 5%. At Agility’s regional headquarters in Dubai, the solar photovoltaic (PV) plant involves installation of 17,500 panels at three sites with the capacity to generate nearly 8 mega-watts of power at peak. The total value of all construction contracts awarded so far by Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) on the Qiddiya giga project, since construction began some 12 months ago, has reached SAR 2 billion and these contracts have been awarded 100% to Saudi companies.
