AkzoNobel and Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group enter joint venture
AkzoNobel Middle East and Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group established a joint venture company, Akzo Nobel Decorative Paints (ANDP), on 16 February 2016. The deal was signed in AkzoNobel’s Amsterdam headquarters, where officials revealed the new company will further strengthen its credibility with premium brand Dulux.
Group general manager of Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group Abdulla Fareed Al Gurg said that this joint venture will complement the existing business and leverage on the distribution network of the company. “The deep category knowledge due to the long-standing Dulux brand association, local market experience; and our mutual commitment to consumer-focussed innovation, gives us confidence that this partnership will be a long-term success.”
Peter Tomlinson, managing director of AkzoNobel Middle East added: “We are committed to growing in the Middle East region and strengthening the relationship with our local partners. Boosting our decorative coatings and paints offer in the region will provide a strong platform to support our customers in this increasingly important market.”
