Dubai: Azizi breaks ground on mixed-use project in MBR City

Dubai-based developer, Azizi Developments, has broken ground on its major mixed-use project, Azizi Victoria, in the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City – District Seven.

Spread over a construction area of 306ha, Azizi Victoria will boast 105 mid- and high-rise residential buildings offering 30,000 units of studio, one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom apartments, a retail district and two hotels, said a statement from the developer. The buildings will be mixed-use constructions of eight, 15, and 30 floors, plus ground level, housing apartments, retail establishments, restaurants, and hotels, it stated.

Azizi Victoria will have a distinctly British feel, with themes and elements influenced by contemporary British culture and way of living. The architectural style is contemporary freestyle, with occasional touches of Postmodern. However, the design has inherited stylistic influences from the Southern European clustered-town configuration and a number of certain high-street features, specific to British Georgian downtowns, the statement added.

The development will include enhanced community facilities such as educational institutions, high-street retail establishments, hospitality, and outdoor recreation spaces. Construction of the project is expected to be completed in four phases with Phase one scheduled for May 2019 and Phase two in July the same year.
