Arabtec Construction signs MOU to establish 3D Concrete Printing & Digital Construction Centre

Arabtec Construction, the largest subsidiary of Arabtec Holding PJSC, today announced its collaboration with the American University of Dubai (AUD), Robert Bird Group (RBG) and 3Dvincy Creations, to establish the AUD Center for 3D concrete printing & digital construction.

The 3D printing center aims to promote the use and knowledge of innovative construction technologies in the UAE and Middle East. In line with Dubai’s Vision, announced in 2016 by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-president and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and the Ruler of Dubai, the companies involved in the MOU are working towards UAE developers taking advantage of this new innovative technology in forming 25% of the CityState’s new buildings by 2025.

Arabtec Construction’s CEO, Boyd Merrett commented, “3D concrete printing is still a technology in its infancy, one that Arabtec Construction alongside leading organisations such as AUD, RBG and 3Dvincy Creations are keen to develop into an innovative solution for our industry.
