Aconex names new Middle East GM

Project management software specialist Aconex has named Baraq Hadi, previously vice president at Bentley Systems, as general manager of the Middle East.

He is responsible for business throughout the Gulf region, which contributed AUD 12.2mn to the company’s total revenue for the first half of the financial year ending June 30.

Hadi reports to Henry Jones, senior vice president of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and global accounts.

“We are fortunate to have hired an executive of Baraq Hadi’s caliber to lead this strategically and financially important region for us,” said Jones.

“Aconex has been the market leader in the Middle East for nearly a decade now, with particular strength in serving airport, rail, highway, and other infrastructure megaprojects. Baraq’s 20 years of managing project delivery and asset management services in the region have positioned him well to drive our continued growth. We expect his enterprise-level experience with the Gulf’s largest asset owner/operators and contractors to help us deliver increasing value to our customers.”
