GAC Saudi Arabia wins ‘Best Ship Agency’ at IMC Excellence Awards 2017

GAC Saudi Arabia, a global provider of shipping, logistics and marine services, was recently honoured with the ‘Best Ship Agency’ title at the IMC Excellence Awards 2017 – Bahrain and Saudi Arabia Chapter.

The award recognises GAC Saudi Arabia as the agency that has demonstrated the highest level of professionalism and contributed towards the development of the maritime industry.

Factors measured included leadership, statutory and regulatory compliance, innovation, management and administration and trade and export services.

Stewart Hendry, head of shipping and oil and gas, GAC Saudi Arabia, said: “We are committed to being a compliant and ethical business and adopting professional customer management practices. We have also taken steps to work closely with our customers in light of new legislative changes, such as the roll-out and compliance with new ballast water management regulations which came into force earlier this year. Such initiatives have made GAC Saudi Arabia the front-runner in the industry and a recognised force in the region, something we are delighted to see confirmed by this award.”

David Burck, managing director, GAC Saudi Arabia, said: “It gives us great pleasure to win the title, ahead of the celebration of 60 years of operations next year. It would not have been possible without the dedication of our staff, support from our company’s colleagues worldwide and trust from our valued customers and partners.”
